Job Description

YOUR NEW ROLE, WHATS INVOLVED? 

  • Lead, drive and implement opportunities through a structured, robust work winning and governance process against agreed timescales
  • Manage/facilitate the delivery of all or parts of Expressions of Interest, Pre-Qualifications and Proposals including proposal kick off, winning and review meetings
  • Manage interfaces with the proposals team, multi-disciplinary engineering teams, other UK/global business streams, external clients and partner organisations
  • Manage multiple bids concurrently, dependent on size and complexity
  • Identify an approach to defining bid strategy, win themes and storyboards and developing value propositions
  • Produce capture plans based on research/feedback from the Energy teams and other data sources (e.g. workshops, corporate and industry websites etc).
  • Lead answer planning sessions and develop bid answer structures to define the most compelling and engaging response to our client
  • Write and support impactful, tailored, technically differentiated bid content
  • Develop relationships with client procurement teams
  • Collate proposal feedback from all members of the project proposal team for continuous improvement and emerging best practice

  • We are supporting the drive to net zero across in the energy sector
  • Reporting to the Head of Proposals and Strategic Pursuits for Energy, you will work closely with our Energy team to support clients in the regulated and private sectors
  • You will join a team of bid professionals who work in an open and supportive manner, participating in development opportunities across the business

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE

  • Qualification to degree level, or demonstrable relevant experience in a similar role, ideally in a consultancy background
  • Excellent command of English language for editing text and response writing
  • Robust project management skills with a meticulous approach to detail and quality, supported by commercial acumen
  • A passion for quality and continuous improvement with a focus on delivery with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise
  • Knowledge and understanding mainly with standard private and regulated proposal processes with some knowledge of public sector
  • A drive and passion to support the culture of openness and knowledge sharing across the team including a culture of continuous improvement
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication, acting as a team player and using your influencing and collaborative skills to great effect
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong effective relationships
  • Flexibility to meet demanding proposal deadlines working extra hours when necessary
  • An IT focus with an accurate and proficient working knowledge in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint). Knowledge of Adobe suite. Knowledge of Microsoft Project would be advantageous
