AECOM is seeking a Marketing Proposal Management Specialist to support our East Region Marketing Team. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement to include a combination of office and remote schedule, with a preference to be based, but not limited to one of the following AECOM office locations: Tampa, FL; Orlando, FL; Tallahassee, FL; Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; and Raleigh, NC.
Job Summary:
As part of the East Region Marketing team, the Marketing Proposal Specialist will support our transportation business with priority pursuits focusing on State and municipal governments in the southeastern US, primarily in Florida.
The Marketing Proposal Specialist must exhibit a high level of integrity and professionalism, and display excellent leadership, time-management, and communication skills (both oral and written.) Must be able to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment with multiple deadlines.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manages the development of a variety of proposals and presentations from pre-RFP positioning through to interview stage, in response to client solicitations, including analyzing RFP specifications and requirements.
Develops compliance matrices, proposal outlines/templates, and proposal review and production schedules.
Communicates proposal requirements to team members, including subconsultants, and gathers information necessary for proposal submittals.
Coordinates with AECOM legal and entity departments and is knowledgeable of state websites to ensure correct information about AECOM and its professionals is included in submittals.
Uses SalesForce CRM software to maintain up-to-date opportunity information.
Works with graphics team members to establish proposal and presentation design, while ensuring RFP instructions and internal brand guidelines pertaining to format, fonts, etc. are being followed.
Interfaces and partners with BD and technical staff at all levels of the organization to win work. Assists in the development of capture planning, win themes, and differentiators.
Facilitates and leads proposal kick-off, status, and review meetings.
Writes qualifications-based sections of proposals including resumes, project descriptions, and other general information materials. Provides grammatical and technical editing to ensure quality.Supports special projects, as required.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS, preferably in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or a related field, plus four (4) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Eight years or more of related experience.
Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry, including Transportation-related clients and AECOM’s projects, people, credentials, and competitors.
A detailed knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools.
A developed understanding of effective proposal and presentation writing and production.
A strong working knowledge of word processing programs (e.g., Microsoft Word), spreadsheet management (Excel), and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint), as well as desktop publishing software (e.g., InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop).
A working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.An understanding of CRM.
Salesforce experience is a plus.
Initiative, skill, and personal commitment to manage multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up, and bring tasks and projects to full completion.
Experience with industry best practices and procedures to support positioning, client, or business development processes.
Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others.
Proven organizational skills, including the ability to complete varied work tasks on schedule, and the proven ability to manage documents.
Experience demonstrating leadership qualities.
Ability to exercise discretion with confidential/sensitive issues.
Experience with preparation of proposals for transportation projects using design-build delivery.
